Naukri JobSpeak Sep 2026: AI/ML hiring up 20%, fresher hiring flat

Naukri's JobSpeak index for September 2026 rose 2% from a year earlier, to 3,053. Within that modest growth, demand for AI and machine learning roles jumped 20%, while IT/software services hiring slipped 4%. Entry-level postings barely moved (+1%), and the strongest gains went to professionals with eight or more years of experience. Hyderabad and Chennai grew fastest among metros; Mumbai and Delhi NCR each fell 6%. This is the latest monthly edition; the October data is due in early November.
