What an ATS actually grades
Most large employers run every application through an applicant tracking system before a person sees it. The system doesn't read your resume the way a recruiter does — it parses it into fields, matches it against the job description, and ranks what comes out. A resume that looks excellent to a human can score badly simply because the parser couldn't read it. These are the four things that decide the score:
Parsing & formatting
